SEOUL SUSTAINABLE TOURISM CONFERENCE 2023
The Seoul Tourism Organization, in collaboration with UNWTO will hold the Seoul Sustainable Tourism Conference 2023 from Thursday, November 16, to Friday, November 17 2023, to promote the creation of a sustainable tourism ecosystem. The itinerary for the conference is in line with the primary conference theme: "One Planet: Responsible Consumption and Sustainable Travel." and is as follows.
On the first day, following the opening ceremony and keynote speech, the conference will be held in three meeting sessions. On the second day, a Fam Tour (Familiarization Tour) will be conducted in conjunction with Seoul City Mountaineering Tour, a program managed by the Seoul Tourism Organization. The event will serve as an opportunity for UNWTO sustainable tourism practitioners, member countries, related partners, and residents to come together and share in the latest trends and industry developments in sustainable tourism.
UNWTO Affiliate Members Working Session

The UNWTO Affiliate Members’ network fosters public-private cooperation in tourism and the synergies among Affiliate Members and Member States. Bringing together more than 450 private companies, associations, educational institutions and DMOs, the UNWTO Affiliate Membership provides an unparalleled space for members to engage in dialogue, exchange knowledge, support new measures and create synergies that promote the development of the sector.
Tourism private stakeholders can contribute greatly to the development of a better and more sustainable tourism sector, and the solid network of Affiliate Members of UNWTO has the capacity to provide many initiatives, proposals, strategies and actions aimed at fostering public-private cooperation.
Objectives
- Expand the cooperation between UNWTO and its Affiliate Members
- Promote the activities of UNWTO and the Affiliate Members Department, with a specific focus on the Asia and the Pacific region
- Deepen the analysis and discussion of public-private cooperation as a fundamental pillar of tourism development
- Showcase successful examples of partnership’s models and strategies by UNWTO Affiliate Members
